City North Public Domain Plan

The City of Sydney has plans to revitalise streets, parks and public spaces in the northern city centre, making the area more accessible and more appealing for everyone.

The draft City North Public Domain Plan covers the area bounded by George, Alfred, Macquarie and King Streets. It includes strategies to improve walking connections to major transport routes and interface with private developments.

Key proposals include a staged upgrade to Martin Place and improvements to the streets and footpaths connecting the city to Circular Quay.

This consultation is now closed. We would like to thank everyone who contributed their thoughts and comments on the draft City North Public Domain Plan.

We will use your feedback alongside technical studies and project objectives to refine the plan. We will be seeking Council endorsement for the refined plan later this year, so stay tuned to this website for more opportunities to have your say on this exciting project for Sydney.
