Review of environmental factors for Dyuralya Square, Waterloo

We invite your feedback on a review of environmental factors for Dyuralya Square, a new public square at 7–19 Amelia Street in Waterloo. We will also install a new footpath and cycleway next to Dyuralya Square. This work is part of a plan to develop Gadigal Avenue from Lachlan Street to O’Dea Avenue.

The review is an environmental impact assessment of key engineering, environmental and planning factors including geotechnical and contamination, as well as landscape and visual, hydrology and flooding. It recommends measures to reduce the impacts of these during construction and operation of the proposed works.

About Dyuralya Square

Dyuralya Square will be a community meeting place with flexible spaces for small events, markets and performance spaces. The design includes paved areas, a green lawn, a water feature, public art, trees and colourful garden beds. The urban square has been designed to complement the proposed future light rail stop of Gadigal Avenue. The concept design was open for community consultation in May 2015.
