7–15 Randle Street Surry Hills planning proposal

We invite your feedback on a proposal to amend Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 to increase the floor space and building height for a hotel at 7–15 Randle Street, Surry Hills.

The proposal would provide for an increase in the floor-space ratio and add a maximum of 7.45m to the building height only for a hotel use.

Controls for building setbacks for the top 2 storeys, urban design and other issues are detailed in a site-specific development control plan.

A minor correction to the listing description for the heritage building at 11–13 Randle Street, Surry Hills is also proposed.

Documents on exhibition are the planning proposal report, supporting specialist reports and a development control plan for the site. These are available in the document library on this page.

We will consider all submissions and report the results to Council and the Central Sydney Planning Committee. If Council approves this planning proposal after the exhibition, it can amend the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 on behalf of the Greater Sydney Commission.
