Sydney LEP 2012: Minor policy and housekeeping amendments

Submissions for the proposed changes to the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 closed on Monday 21 August 2017

The proposed changes will make the plan clearer, easier to use and help meet the City of Sydney's affordable housing objectives.

The changes will:

  • allow repainting of already painted buildings in heritage conservation areas without development consent (subject to restrictions and excluding heritage items)
  • amend the floor-space ratio map to reflect subdivision and allow development of City sites at:
    • 94–104 Epsom Road and 132–140 Joynton Avenue, Zetland
    • 330–338 Botany Road and 20 O'Riordan Street, Alexandria
  • clarify some provisions on permitted uses and affordable housing
  • correct the name details of 5 existing heritage items.

If Council approves this planning proposal after public exhibition, it will amend the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 on behalf of the Greater Sydney Commission.
