Serviced apartment amendments for Sydney local environmental plans

We invite your feedback on a planning proposal that provides clarity and certainty on the design and construction standards required for new serviced apartments.

The proposed changes are in line with existing planning policy. They will ensure newly built serviced apartments are as attractive and comfortable as residential apartments.

The changes affect:

  • Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012
  • Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2005
  • Sydney Local Environmental Plan (Green Square Town Centre) 2013
  • Sydney Local Environmental Plan (Green Square Town Centre Stage 2) 2013.

We will consider all submissions and report the results to Council. If Council approves this proposal after public exhibition, the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 will be drafted and finalised by the Department of Planning and Environment.
